Miso Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 cup miso1
- 1 cup mirin
- 1/2 cup sake (heavy pour this)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp water
Directions
- Combine all ingredients in sauce pan over medium-high heat.
- Once the mixture gets bubbly, lower the heat to a simmer. Let it hang out on a low simmer for 20-ish minutes until itβs thickened.
- Pour into an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 2 months, or use right away on some miso chicken.
Notes
- I recommend red miso. It has a much more robust flavor profile compared to white miso. But experiment! Theyβre all tasty.
